The rising heavyweight contender completed seven takedowns in his fight with Willis, carrying his UFC total to a whopping 40. This is now the record for the most takedowns completed by any heavyweight in UFC history.

Just shortly after an interview with Jimmy Fallon aired where he announced that he is currently in negotiations with the UFC to return in July of this year, McGregor announced he would be retiring from the sport of mixed martial arts.
