“The Notorious” has already won by being the first to bring two superstars from the world of boxing and MMA still in the height of their careers to meet for a fight, which takes place in the boxing ring on August 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier recently spoke with Fight Hype about the draw of Conor McGregor and went as far as to claim “The Notorious” as the “greatest promoter of all time.”

“I never thought that this fought would come to pass,” said Cormier (at 3:29 of the video). “Now, now, P, that’s why I say Conor is the greatest promoter of all time because, how do you do this? How did a guy… Cause truth of the matter is, Floyd had to listen for this to happen. Right? Floyd had to take notice. How did Conor McGregor, a mixed martial arts guy, that really doesn’t have the, I mean he has no boxing experience – get the attention of the pound-for-pound number one fighter in the world, and maybe the best boxer of all-time? How did he do that?

“That’s why I say he’s the greatest promoter of all-time. I mean, this guy, he managed to get Floyd Mayweather to fight him. There are boxers in the world right now P that are much more deserving of that mega-fight, in terms of credentials, but they could never get Floyd’s attention to make Floyd listen. Conor did that. That’s why I say he’s the greatest promoter of all time.”
