Reyes is set to face off against Jones this weekend in the main event of UFC’s second PPV card of the year. It’s set to be an explosive showdown between two of the best light heavyweight fighters in the world, even though many fans and pundits aren’t giving Reyes much of a chance.

In the run up to his title defence at UFC 247, Jon Jones made an appearance on ESPN “First Take.” His upcoming opponent, Dominick Reyes, was a hot topic, but the lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor also came up. The host, Stephen A. Smith, gave credence to Nurmagomedov and McGregor’s box office success in the sport. Co-host Max Kellerman postulated that Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently the best pound-for-pound fighter. Jones didn’t take offence to the comment but quickly gave justification for his superior GOAT status.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko posed together with their belts ahead of UFC 247. Both Jones and Shevchenko are set to defend their titles against challengers Dominick Reyes and Katlyn Chookagian, respectively, at UFC 247 this Saturday night at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Prior to the fight, the two champions took the time to pose for a very cool photo of them both showing off their gold belts.

The fight was seemingly over as soon as it began, as the Irishman finished ‘Cowboy’ by TKO in just 40 seconds of the first round.

Donald Cerrone says he never suffered a broken nose and orbital bone as speculated in his UFC 246 fight against Conor McGregor. In the main event of UFC 246, “Cowboy” was getting the fight he had been asking for against McGregor. But, it didn’t go his way. Instead, he was knocked out in 40 seconds after a barrage of strikes. When he got up after the ref called off the fight his face was bloody and he had a swollen eye.

Chael Sonnen isn’t predicting that Jon Jones vs. Israel Adesanya would take place at a catchweight but he wouldn’t be surprised if it does. Jones and Adesanya have gone back-and-forth to the point where fight fans are expecting the two to collide at some point.
