The speculation is over, and now, the highly anticipated fight between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone is on. According to Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the two stars are set to face off on January 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in what will likely be the main event of UFC 246. It will mark the first time that we’ve seen McGregor in the Octagon since his infamous submission defeat back at UFC 229 to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Leading MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas of MMAOddsbreaker.com was a guest on a special breaking news edition of “The MMAOB Daily Podcast with Adam Martin” on Thursday and released the opening odds for McGregor vs. Cerrone.

The 24-year old internet sensation has amassed over 20 million followers due to his video content and Impaulsive podcast. He has recently been dabbling in combat sports and faced his fellow Youtuber, KSI, in a boxing match in 2018. The fight resulted in a majority draw.

Earlier this week, the MMA world was rocked by the tragic news that a body found in Macon County, Alabama was believed to be that of missing 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard — the daughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris. On Wednesday, UFC President Dana White took to social media to inform fight fans that the remains discovered do in fact belong to Blanchard. The UFC boss also shared his condolences with Harris, the rest of Blanchard’s family, and every member of the combat sports community who was praying for Blanchard’s safe return home.
