Cub Swanson was as shocked as the rest of us when he found out his friend and training partner TJ Dillashaw had tested positive for EPO, an injectable only performance-enhancing drug. That being said, he says that he hand his teammates at Treigning Lab are attempting to forgive the former bantamweight champion. “I kind of found out like everybody else. It was quite a shock, because as far as our team, we have standards and stuff like that about being honest and going through stuff,” Swanson said during a scrum ahead of his UFC Ottawa fight with Shane Burgos (via MMA Junkie). “But he’s still a part of our team, and it’s a decision he made. We forgive him for it.”

If you’ve stayed up to date with the UFC over the last couple of years, you’ve probably noticed there has been a little less swearing in fighters’ post-fight interviews. That’s because UFC fighters are diligently following the “Al Iaquinta Rule.” This rule was put into place shortly after its namesake Al Iaquinta unleashed a profanity-laced tired in one of his post-fight interviews, and apparently, UFC fighters are reminded of it before every card.

Despite dozens of recent reports to the contrary, Brock Lesnar will not be returning to the UFC’s Octagon for a heavyweight title super fight with Daniel Cormier. After months and months of anticipation, the fight reportedly fizzled out earlier this week, leading the UFC to schedule a Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic rematch instead. Speaking to ESPN, UFC President Dana White stated that this Cormier-Lesnar matchup was quashed because Lesnar decided he is “done” with mixed martial arts. According to Dave Meltzer of Wresting Observer Newsletter, however, it’s not quite that simple.

Fresh off an impressive victory over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Jack Hermansson is ready for another big step up in the middleweight division. His preference, as he explained on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday, is a fight with Yoel Romero — though he’s also interested in meeting Kelvin Gastelum or Chris Weidman in his next outing. “We want the big boys,” Hermansson said on the show. “I have three names in mind, Yoel Romero, Kelvin Gastelum and Chris Weidman, Those make sense for me.

In need of bigger names to spice up their South Carolina debut, the UFC has reportedly turned to “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Renato Moicano. Raphael Marinho, of Brazilian outlet Combate, is reporting the two featherweights have verbally agreed to meet at UFC Greenville on June 22. The report also says it’s uncertain if the bout will be a five-round main event, or will fall earlier on the main card.
