Several times a year, the UFC goes through the process of purging their UFC roster as they remove inactive fighters, and cut fighters who are currently on losing streaks. UFC to layoff off 60 to 80 employees in massive shake up

The new owners of the UFC are apparently looking to clean house and are laying off between 60 to 80 employees, UFC insiders confirmed. The mass lay-offs follow recent reports of low morale at the UFC’s Las Vegas HQ, with one employee likening the atmosphere as “like a morgue”.

After Northcutt’s originally scheduled lightweight opponent Andrew Holbrook had to pull out of their fight set for UFC on FOX 18 this Saturday, Northcutt was given a new opponent at welterweight. Northcutt is now set to fight Bryan Barberena at 170-pounds and is loving that he gets to eat more ahead of his fight. Northcutt spoke with MMA Junkie recently on how he is feeling ahead of his bout this weekend.

News then emerged that Penn had verbally agreed to a bout, however no further details were given.
