Jorge Masvidal slams Jake Paul following reports of terrible PPV numbers: 'Never again do I want to hear my name associated with the fake'

Cole Shelton - December 28, 2021

Jorge Masvidal has blasted Jake Paul after the pay-per-view numbers for his rematch against Tyron Woodley were reported. Over the holiday weekend, it was reported that the Paul-Woodley 2 Showtime boxing pay-per-view did under 65,000 buys. If that is true that, it is obviously a horrible look for Paul who previously claimed he surpassed a million buys for his bout against Ben Askren.

With Anthony Joshua set to rematch Oleksandr Usyk, it was ruled Dillian Whyte was the mandatory challenger for Fury. However, Whyte has been asking for too much money and now the WBC has ruled the Brit can face someone in a non-title fight next. Now, according to Arum, Andy Ruiz Jr. is one of the two names being floated around.

However, months later, Paul posted a picture of Mayweather on his Instagram story where he blasted “Money” for not paying him.

Susan Cox - December 28, 2021

Francis Ngannou is competing in the final fight of his current contract on January 22nd in Anaheim when he squares off with Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. It could be the last time we see Ngannou, 35, inside the Octagon, as he refused to sign a contract extension earlier this year citing it was a lowball offer.

Chael Sonnen believes Charles Oliveira’s tendency to “get hit a lot” will prove costly against Justin Gaethje

Harry Kettle - December 28, 2021

Chael Sonnen believes Charles Oliveira’s tendency to get hit often could cost him in a fight against Justin Gaethje. While it would appear as if Charles Oliveira is leaning towards defending his UFC lightweight title against Conor McGregor, the idea of “Do Bronx” versus Justin Gaethje simply cannot be ruled out. There are plenty of factors in play that’ll help determine what’s next at 155 pounds, but the ball is firmly in Oliveira’s court right now.

Diego Sanchez reacts after booking fight with Kevin Lee, says he’s “healthier than ever” for his Eagle FC debut

Harry Kettle - December 28, 2021

UFC veteran Diego Sanchez has reacted to confirmation of his Eagle FC debut against Kevin Lee next year. While there’s no way of knowing whether or not Eagle Fighting Championship is going to be a success, it certainly seems as if Khabib Nurmagomedov is willing to break out the big bucks in order to bring in some big names. Rashad Evans’ return to mixed martial arts was initially the biggest headline for the promotion but now, they’ve also got a 165-pound bout between Diego Sanchez and Kevin Lee to look forward to.
