The ongoing saga between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather currently is the buzz of the combat sports community. While there are certainly numerous hurdles for both men to clear before contracts are even issued for the potential scrap, the talk of a potential scrap has been making headlines in both the boxing community and the MMA community. This week, Mayweather took a major step towards trying to negotiate the fight when he offered Conor McGregor $15 million plus a potential cut of the PPV sales. That offer of course likely didn’t satisfy McGregor.

Following his dominant UFC 205 win over Eddie Alvarez in November, McGregor was issued his boxing license in California, adding fuel to the fire of a potential showdown between the two men in the boxing ring. With that being said, despite the two men firing shots at one another in interviews over the course of the last several weeks, talks never resulted in contracts being issued.
