Pros react to Canelo Alvarez defeating Daniel Jacobs
A highly anticipated middleweight title unification bout between Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs headlined tonight’s DAZN boxing event in Las Vegas.

Canelo Alvarez entered tonight’s title fight sporting a sensational professional record of 51-1-2. In his most previous effort, Canelo scored a third round TKO victory over Rocky Fielding.
Meanwhile, Daniel Jacobs entered tonight’s DAZN headliner sporting an overall record of 35-2. Jacobs had defeated Serhiy Derevianchenko via split decision in his most previous effort, capturing the IBF middleweight title in the process.
Tonight’s title fight was a back and forth affair which saw both men have their moments.
After twelve rounds of exciting action we went to the judges scorecards for decision.
This time around, the judges appeared to getting things right – awarding Canelo Alvarez a unanimous decision victory with scorecards of 115-113, 115-113 and 116-112.

Both men were paid handsomely for their respective efforts tonight, as it was reported that as Canelo earned 35 million, while Jacobs’ purse is expected to eclipse ten million dollars.
