UFC President Dana White would rather not see Chris Weidman return to the Octagon. Weidman competed at UFC 292 after being out of action since 2021 due to a gruesome leg injury. The former UFC Middleweight Champion went one-on-one with Brad Tavares in the featured UFC 292 preliminary bout. While Chris Weidman had his moments, his lead leg took a pounding from the kicks of Tavares. The bout went the distance and Tavares was awarded the unanimous decision win.

Dana White has shared his thoughts on Sean O’Malley’s title-earning TKO victory over Aljamain Sterling at tonight’s UFC 292 event. O’Malley (17-1 MMA) was getting his first opportunity to fight for UFC gold this evening in Boston. ‘Suga’ was returning to the Octagon for the first time since scoring a split decision victory over former bantamweight champion Petr Yan at UFC 280 in October of last year. Prior to that, the 28-year-old had gone toe-to-toe with Pedro Munhoz in a bout that was ultimately ruled a no-contest due to an accidental eye poke.

It was at UFC 291, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson (17-6 MMA) was set to take on Michel ‘Demolidor’ Pereira (28-11 MMA) in a welterweight bout. Pereira ultimately missed weight by three pounds so their match-up never took place. According to Dana White, the UFC offered Thompson another fight but he declined.

UFC President Dana White insists Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg is all in on having an MMA fight. Zuckerberg left MMA fans in awe when it was revealed that he’s been putting in serious time training Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He had success in his first BJJ tournament, taking gold and silver medals in the white belt bracket. Zuckerberg also recently earned his BJJ blue belt.

In the main event of UFC Nashville, Sandhagen took on Rob Font on just a few weeks’ notice after Umar Nurmagomedov had to withdraw from their fight due to an injury. Sandhagen entered the bout with a nagging elbow injury and in the first round he hurt his arm even further which forced him to turn to his wrestling.
