Days after UFC 228 win, Diego Sanchez hints at “fight news soon”
Last weekend, on the undercard of the action-packed UFC 228 card, the Ultimate Fighter season one winner Diego Sanchez turned back the clock with a dominant decision defeat of British welterweight Craig White.
With this win, Diego Sanchez took a big step toward the final goal of his MMA career — to win a UFC title, and defy his legions of doubters and naysayers.
From the sounds of it, Diego Sanchez could take another big step toward that goal very soon. Shortly after his defeat of Craig White, Sanchez took to Instagram where he teased “Fight news soon.”

“Nightmare ain’t scared,” Sanchez said on Instagram. “Fight news soon.”
With his decision defeat of Craig White, Diego Sanchez rebounded from a pair of knockout losses at the hands of Matt Brown and Al Iaquinta. These losses were preceded by a decision defeat of former Bellator star Marcin Held. He’s currently 28-11 overall.
Though he once battled BJ Penn for the title in the UFC lightweight division, Sanchez is now committed to a title run in the UFC welterweight division, which is currently ruled by the fearsome Tyron Woodley. Woodley defended the UFC welterweight title in the UFC 228 main event, submitting Darren Till in the second round.
Do you think Diego Sanchez has one more title run in him? Who do you think he’ll fight next?
