Diego Sanchez reflects on UFC Mexico win this past weekend
This past weekend in Mexico, UFC veteran Diego Sanchez returned to the win column as he picked up a unanimous decision win over Marcin Held. The win was a pretty impressive one for Sanchez, who managed to leave fight fans in awe when he used the Octagon walls to aid him in escaping a standing guillotine attempt.
Sanchez, who has hop-scotched wins and losses going back to 2011, when he defeated Martin Kampmann via unanimous decision to make it two in a row, took to social media to thank his fans for their support, and promise them more success in 2017:
With the lightweight division being one of the most stacked in the UFC, and two pivotal lightweight matchups taking place this weekend at UFC 205 in the form of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Michael Johnson, and Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez, where do you think Sanchez will fall among the UFC’s top ranked lightweights following the win?
