Gordon Ryan continues to be plagued by health issues. The BJJ powerhouse has been sidelined for more than six months and is back in the hospital following a recent surgery. The 27 year old has had long-standing issues with his stomach but has recently been struggling with his throat.

Gordon Ryan has an opponent for his ONE Championship debut. According to a Facebook post from ONE CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, the BJJ star will take on JMMA lcon Shinya Aoki in “an openweight grappling super match on August 27!”

Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Gordon Ryan has signed a contract with ONE Championship to compete in both submission grappling and MMA. ONE Championship founder and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced the news on Monday that Ryan has signed with Asia’s leading MMA promotion. According to Sityodtong, Ryan’s contract with ONE will allow him to compete in both submission grappling and in mixed martial arts.
