Mark Hunt has lost his long-running lawsuit against the UFC, Brock Lesnar, and Dana White. In 2016, ‘The Super Somoan’ stepped up to face the former heavyweight champion at UFC 200. That July, Brock Lesnar scored a unanimous decision win over Mark Hunt and quickly teased a full-time comeback. However, a failed pre-fight drug test put an end to those plans.

Former UFC heavyweight title contender Mark Hunt reacted after scoring a court win against the UFC and its president Dana White. Hunt alleged that the UFC and White knew that Brock Lesnar took performance-enhancing drugs before his return to the Octagon at UFC 200 in July 2016, a fight that Lesnar won via unanimous decision. Following the fight, Lesnar tested positive for PEDs and the result of the fight was overturned to a No Contest. Hunt, however, continued to go after the UFC legally for putting him in the cage with a fighter who he says the UFC knew was using PEDs. Hunt filed a lawsuit against the UFC soon after, but the majority of his claims were thrown out in court in 2019. However, the appeals court reopened the case last week.

Mark Hunt is set to return to boxing on December 16 in Australia against Paul Gallen. Hunt is currently 0-1-1 as a pro boxer as he lost to Josh Wyborn in 1999. He then had his second fight in 2000 and fought Joe Askew to a draw. Following that, he then turned his attention to MMA.

Former UFC heavyweight contender Mark Hunt will make his return to combat sports when he takes on Paul Gallen in a boxing match later this year. Gallen, an Australian rugby player who transitioned into boxing, recently confirmed himself the news that he will box Hunt on either October 30 or October 31 at a location-to-be-named. No other details about the fight are known yet, according to MMAFighting.com, but rumors are that Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, could host the event. That’s the same venue the UFC traveled to earlier this year for the Dan Hooker vs. Paul Felder card.
