Tonight’s UFC Vegas 52 event has taken a last minute hit as heavyweights Chase Sherman and Alexander Romanov will no longer be throwing down. That news was delivered by the UFC broadcast team during today’s preliminary fights, who said that the bout was called off due to “minor health issue” that left Sherman unable to compete.

Fury (32-0-1 Boxing) successfully defended his WBC and The Ring Heavyweight Titles earlier this afternoon in London, scoring a sixth round TKO victory over Dillian Whyte (see that here).

MMA analyst Chael Sonnen has claimed Jon Jones isn’t smart enough to understand some of his criticisms. While their one and only meeting inside the Octagon came way back in April 2013, the feud between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen seems to be standing the test of time quite well. They’d always been fairly respectful towards one another but in recent years that relationship has soured, largely due to Sonnen calling out some of the indiscretions Jones has had.

Following the split-decision win, Dana White noted that Sterling actually should’ve lost the bout. That comment prompted the bantamweight champion to briefly feud with the UFC president.

Mike Jackson has opened up on his fight against CM Punk being overturned to a No Contest. Jackson earned a decision win over Punk at UFC 225 in Chicago, but about two months after the fight, he got a letter from the Chicago commission saying he failed his drug test. The news surprised him as he did everything Jeff Novitsky and the UFC told him to, but the only thing that happened was the fight got overturned.

After receiving his UFC release, ‘The Outlaw’ was in talks with ONE Championship and then flirted with the idea of doing a boxing match with Tyron Woodley. However, this week news came out that he will box Diego Sanchez on Ricky Hatton’s undercard.

Muhammad faced Vicente Luque in a rematch of their 2016 encounter. Their first matchup at UFC 205 saw the latter win via knockout. This time, however, the wrestler exacted his revenge and defeated the Brazilian via unanimous decision.
