WWE releases statement on Brock Lesnar’s potential anti-doping violation
Brock Lesnar may not be facing backlash from just the MMA community in the wake of his “potential anti-doping violation”.
The former UFC champion failed an out-of-competition drug test in June, which wasn’t announced until post-UFC 200. This likely could complicate things with Lesnar’s other employers, the WWE.
In addition to repercussions from the NSAC, Lesnar could face a punishment for violating the WWE’s Wellness Policy.
Fox Sports has the WWE’s statement:
“Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania,” which was held in April, “and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21,”
It is important to mention that first time offenders normally get a 30 day suspension from the WWE, which would make Lesnar still able to compete at SummerSlam on August 21st.
