VIDEO | Brock Lesnar is ‘Always Ready’ for UFC Return According to Advocate Paul Heyman
As long as the beast Brock Lesnar is roaming around God’s green Earth, we’re probably going to talk about a possible comeback to the UFC. Just 21 pay-per-views ago, Lesnar came back out of nowhere and beat top 10 heavyweight Mark Hunt. He left as soon as he came back off of an anti-doping violation, then headed back to reign supreme in the WWE. Now, his contract is approaching an end in April and the speculation is boiling over that he’ll bring Suplex City back into the Octagon. Paul Heyman was asked about the rumored moved and said simply: He does what he wants.
“I think Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in UFC, Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in WWE, he will fight in WWE. Ask Braun Strowman, ask Randy Orton, ask the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.”
Dear @TMZ_Sports @TMZ– always love being caught in a sweat suit. For the record … (1) I said “Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.” That was my statement. (2) I’m not a manager. Such an antiquated term. I’m an #Advocate. And I’m the best of all time. You’re welcome. https://t.co/uGHmvmKic0

“The time away actually makes him better because his body gets a chance to heal. The problem with these UFC fighters, and they’re all fantastic athletes, top of the line in the entire world, is that they wear their bodies down in these training camps. All these guys that are cutting weight are just destroying their own bodies. Brock Lesnar’s probably the healthiest fighter to enter UFC if he decides to do that. He’s always ready.” — Paul Heyman speaking to TMZ Sports.
We know that’s a fact. Brock Lesnar has the star power to do what he wants, where he wants. If he wants to return to the UFC, no doubt they’d welcome him with open arms. All of their big draws are either gone for good, or in a limbo with an indeterminable return date. Brock Lesnar will be tied up in red tape until August after his WWE contract is up, but he’ll also need to complete six months of USADA testing at some point if he did want to fight again. So, don’t get too excited yet, but who knows. Maybe we’ll finally get to see Lesnar and Jon Jones fight in 2019.
“There are no major stars that are early 20’s, young guys who are like the next big thing. I don’t know who that is. And everybody’s got an opinion, but the MMA world in general, the reason people are jonesing for [Brock] Lesnar is because they’ve got nobody better to cheer for right now. That’s why they wanted Georges St-Pierre back, that’s why they want Cain Velasquez back in the ring, they want Conor McGregor to fight again.” — Jim Ross speaking to Submission Radio.
