UFC play-by-play ace Jon Anik would rather not see Conor McGregor return to action as a middleweight. McGregor sent the MMA world into a frenzy just before New Year’s, as he announced he will be fighting Michael Chandler on June 29 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. What had fight fans truly buzzing was when McGregor claimed that the fight will be contested at 185 pounds.

If that’s true, Colby Covington has probably made quite a bit of money over the years. The man known as ‘Chaos’ has been involved in some major welterweight fights and this past weekend, he was in another when he challenged Leon Edwards for the UFC title. Unfortunately for his fans, he didn’t produce a good performance, and he subsequently fell to a lopsided defeat.

Next up will be UFC Fight Island 8, headlined by a welterweight clash between Neil Magny and Michael Chiesa, on Wednesday, January 20. The fun will conclude on Saturday, January 23 with the stacked UFC 257 pay-per-view, headlined by a lightweight clash between top-5 contenders Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
